Daytime Lightning Photograph

(The copyright and studio name will not be on the front of your photograph)

We have all seen pictures of lightning at night. It is one of the easiest types of pictures

to take. (Set your camera on a tri-pod and open up the shutter. After the lightning strikes

and exposes the film, just close the shutter) But for anyone that wants to capture lightning

in the daytime, it is a different story. Since lightning strikes are so brief, it is impossible to

react quickly enough to "snap" the picture when you see the bolt. In today's digital age, I

am sure that someone could use a video camera to record the lightning and then try to print

a picture from the video, but the quality would be extremely poor. However, this image

was captured on Kodak slide film and will produce excellent enlargements.

This image was taken in Cape Coral, Florida by predicting when the lightning would strike.

As you can imagine, a lot of film was wasted trying to get this shot, since lightning is not

really very predictable.
